Purebred and Grade Nubians

Starlight

This is my horse, Starlight. I got her from a friend who had rescued her from an auction house. She was very thin, but she's the sweetest thing. So I brought her home after the vet gave her the okay. I am working on breaking her now that her weight is up.  I will post pictures from when I first got her and then the most recent pictures.

Star the day I got her.

Just a couple weeks after I got her and there was already improvement.

And the most recent pictures, I'm quite happy with how she's turning out, I suspect that she is a Quarter Horse mix of some sort, I've also had friends agree with that.

Here's my favorite little lamb, Cali. She's a Katahdin ewe lamb that I got from Susan Abrams of Trio Farms in Edmond, OK. I do plan to add some more sheep next lambing season. She's quite original looking, tri-colored or calico (whichever you prefer to call it), and of course I dubbed her Cali. She is such a sweet heart.

Cali at a few days old.

Cali at 4 months old.

Here she is completely shed out. This isn't the best picture, so I will try and get a better one soon.

I have now added two yearling Katahdin Ewes to my herd/flock. They may be bred I guess we will just have to wait and see. I bought these two girls from the same flock as Cali.

Patch is the first ewe, she has produced a nice quad colored ram lamb and I'm hoping for a similar coloring except on a girl!

Next is Chloe, also a nice yearling ewe. Honestly I don't think she's lambed before, hopefully she'll produce some nice lambs for me.
